Beomseok Jeong, 3rd year BA Dance student, was invited to the SoloDuo Festival in May 2019: from a total of 65 applications 22 artists/groups were selected, so that 10 solos and 12 duos from Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece and Israel competed in the 11th edition of the festival.
The financial support allows them to participate in the intensive workshop "Passing Through and Flying Low" with David Zambrano at the Tic Tac Art Center in Brussels.
The NRW Young Talent Scholarship promotes the artistic development of the scholarship holders by financially supporting projects in cooperation with professional children's and youth theatres of the independent scene in NRW. For her project "RobodiesLab", in cooperation with the tanzhaus nrw, the specialist agency for youth media culture NRW and Jugend hackt, the MA Dance Studies student Valerie Wehrens is supported to create "RobodiesLab" within the framework of "HI, ROBOT! The Mensch Maschine Festival" and the "Metamarathon".
The Deutschlandstipendium offers selected, particularly gifted and committed students who, in addition to excellent academic achievements, also assume social responsibility and/or have successfully mastered obstacles in their own lives and educational path, a reliable additional source of funding, initially for a period of one year.
Brigitte Vargas Huezo participates in the annual project "Laboratory of Arts" at the Kolleg für Musik und Kunst in Montepuliciano, Italy. The Kolleg für Musik und Kunst Montepuliciano is a cooperation of the arts and music universities of North Rhine-Westphalia. It enables students and teachers of the participating universities to work and research interdisciplinary and artistically in order to open up new approaches to the arts – funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the DAAD.

The CROSSOVER fellowship is a funding project of the KunstSalon e.V., supported by the KunstSalon Foundation. Elsa Artmann, Silvia Ehnis Duarte, Maximiliano Estudies, Anne-Lene Nöldner and Thea Soti have been selected to participate in the DAAD-funded project ATLAS Workshops (project coordinator: Udo Nehren / TH Cologne, Prof. Vera Sander / HfMT Cologne, project initiator: Norbert Dennig). It is an exchange project between Germany and Morocco. It allows the participants to pursue questions about artistic work in the intercultural and interdisciplinary context in workshops and labs in Agdz / Morocco and in Cologne / Germany.
The “Research Field Dance Studies”- a cooperation between the German Dance Archive Cologne and the College for Music and Dance in Cologne (HfMT) is awarding four to six scholarships yearly in the amount of 1000-1500 Euro to international Post Doctoral and Doctoral students with the goal of inviting these researchers into cooperative work in Cologne. The desire is to support a portion of the dance studies research and to establish meaningful networks between the researchers and the Dance Archive in Cologne.
This years scholarship will be awarded to the French dance researcher Laure Guilbert for her research on exile and diaspora in the German artistic dance scene between the years of 1933 and 1949 especially dealing with cultural history and questions surrounding transnational migration. Guilbert will, within the frame of this scholarship, present, for discussion, her innovative research on dance history at the Center for Contemporary dance as well as within a block seminar for the masters students in dance studies.
The awarding of this prize will occur within the frame of the symposium “Creating access. How dance studies and art can profit from cultural heritage.” as well as within the awarding of the German Dance Studies Prize 2016.

Marion Clara Flor erhält von der SK Stiftung Kultur der Sparkasse Köln/Bonn eine Förderung. Das Förderprogramm der Sparkasse Köln/Bonn unterstützt ihr Projekt in Sao Paulo/Brasilien, das bei der Tanzkompanie "Cisne Negro Cia. de Dança" sowie an dem dazugehörigen Ausbildungszentrum, angesiedelt ist.

In 2013 Sirkka Muth received the DAAD grant PROMOS. The financial support enabled her to go on a two-month research trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she mastered the negotiation of colonial and post-colonial influences in the construction and constitution of contemporary dance in the free dance scene in Buenos Aires as part of her master's thesis.
