The lab "Exchanging on improvisational concepts in music and dance" investigates the relevance of improvisation for contemporary realities. It is about an attitude of improvisation that can create an updated set of relationships between us and other actors, us and other things, us and other disciplines. In a gesture of openness to change through encounters with others, it is also about developing sensitivity and the ability to deal with unknown patterns. Thus, the lab, led by Jan Burkhardt, Sebastian Gramss, Rodrigo Lopez-Klingenfuss and Prof. Vera Sander, enables the investigation and application of practices and methods related to improvisational concepts in music and dance. The participants are part of a heterogeneous group of dance students and music students. In order to intensify the collaboration between them, the lab invites exchange. In this way, improvisational concepts can be explored practically with one another, as well as project ideas and plans for potential collaborations be expressed and concretized.
